Abstract

Accessibility is often introduced late in projects as a compliance requirement or technical checklist. Yet the most powerful impact of inclusion occurs much earlier, when project vision, scope, and success criteria are first defined. For project leaders, inclusive design is not an execution detail; it is a strategic decision that determines who benefits from the outcomes of their work.

This session invites project professionals to see accessibility as foresight rather than rework. Through market data, real-world examples, and universal design principles, participants will explore the cost of exclusion and the innovation advantage created when teams design for human diversity from the start.

The session concludes with a brief, hands-on demonstration of an accessibility feature available on everyday smartphones, ensuring every attendee leaves with at least one practical tool they can immediately use and a deeper understanding of inclusive design in action.
