The PMI Chennai Chapter (PMICC) successfully conducted the “Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence” workshop on 30 May 2026 at IITM Research Park, Chennai, attracting 34 project management professionals eager to deepen their understanding of the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence.

The workshop was led by Dr. S. Chandramouli, who provided participants with a comprehensive overview of the evolution of AI—from traditional assistance tools to emerging Agentic AI systems. The session highlighted how Artificial Intelligence is increasingly becoming a strategic capability for organizations, enabling greater efficiency, innovation, and data-driven decision-making across industries.

Through a combination of conceptual discussions, practical demonstrations, and real-world examples, participants gained valuable insights into current AI trends, emerging technologies, and their potential impact on project management and business transformation.
