PMI Chennai Chapter – Annual Conference SANGAMAM 22

Chennai, 10th  September: Project Management Institute, Chennai Chapter (PMICC), the world's leading association for the project management profession, hosted its 11th Annual Conference, ‘SANGAMAM 22’on 10th September 2022. Conference brought highly coveted sessions from industry experts with international case studies on project management. Conference themed ‘Leadership Blend for Project Success | Dream, Dare, Deliver’. Event attracted over 350+ attendees from top management to mid-level managers.

 The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Honourable Thiru T. Mano Thangaraj, Minister for Information Technology & Digital Services, Government of Tamil Nadu.

He went onto to speak more about servant leadership and how the DMK government is leading by example for becoming the number one state in India to provide Internet availability for all by 2030. He talked about the efforts TN government is taking to bridge the gap between demand and supply of manpower requirements and to help achieve its aim of becoming $1 trillion economy by 2030. His interpretation of Leadership was more on the need of bringing transformation in the society. He also shared insights on the various initiatives under his development to strengthen the growth of emerging technology and digital technology services. Minister made his final note with the strong Dravidian policy which ensures the inclusive growth. He quoted ‘No one should be excluded from benefits under development schemes by this TN government ‘ He wished the PMI Chennai chapter for the great event and released the very first newsletter “ PMI Thamizhagam” .

Radhakrishnan IAS., Principal Secretary - Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection, Government of Tamil Nadu, Dr Srini Srinivasan, PMI Managing Director, India, Mr. Prasanna Sampathkumar, Region Mentor, Mr. Parvez Alam, President, PMI Chennai Chapter, Mr. Vijay Narayan, secretary, PMI Chennai Chapter, Dr. Dinesh Babu Thavamani, Vice president, Marketing and Mr. Mohamed Aslam Ahraff, VP - Volunteer Development, & Conference Director were the other dignitaries.

Event kicked off with an welcome address by Mr. Alam followed by the opening remarks by Dr Srini Srinivasan, PMI Managing Director, India. The context of the meeting was briefed by Mr. Prasanna Sampathkumar, Region Mentor. The conference environment was set to create opportunities for two-way conversations and lasting connections.

Guest of Honour Thiru Dr. J. Radhakrishnan IAS., Principal Secretary - Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection, Government of Tamil Nadu who has hands on experience in tackling crisis situations was brought as a chief guest. His message was how the visible administration and common-sense leadership brings results. He was awarded by PMI Chennai Chapter as Covid Warrior.
