Mr. Mahalingam Athmanathan (Maha) is a senior digital transformation and delivery leader with over 27 years of experience driving large-scale programs across BFSI, Insurance, Healthcare, Telecom, and Technology domains. Throughout his career, he has led multi-million-dollar transformation initiatives, established PMO governance frameworks, and managed large global delivery teams across the UK, the Isle of Man, the USA, LATAM, Europe, and India.
Maha served as Practice Head for Digital Transformation, AI & QA at KARYA Technologies, where he led enterprise-scale transformation programs and built the organization’s AI practice. Prior to that, he spent more than a decade at HCL Technologies leading large-scale transition and transformation programs in Insurance and BFSI, Media Production & Entertainment. Currently, he passionately mentors professionals and drives Digital Transformation, Program Governance, and Technology Modernisation initiatives for multinational clients. He also serves as Visiting Faculty at Lovely Professional University, Punjab, delivering sessions on Design Thinking, Product Management, and Digital Strategy.
He holds an MBA in Human Resources and a B.Sc. in Mathematics, along with professional certifications including PMP®, Generative AI for Project Managers, Prompt Engineering, LOMA-ALMI (USA), and CFA-CII (London), reflecting his commitment to continuous learning across project management, AI, and financial services.

A PMI member since 2014, Maha has been an active participant and volunteer in PMI Chennai Chapter events and initiatives, including serving as Master of Ceremonies for the Design Thinking session and volunteering at the Chapter’s flagship events. He is a passionate mentor to PMP aspirants and project management professionals, and his community commitment extends back to CSR initiatives supporting underprivileged and special children in Chennai and philanthropic activities in Bengaluru.
