The Project Management Institute Chennai Chapter seems to be heading towards a supply chain problem 😀. At the rate they are adding “feathers to their cap,” they will soon run out of “cap space” and will need a continuous supply of new caps!
The new initiative “Coffee and Connections,” launched on Saturday, June 7th at IIT Madras Research Park (IITMRP), was very well received by the PMI Chennai fraternity. It was a wonderful idea to connect the past, present, and future by having the Presidents from different decades—Dr. P N Sridharan, Founder (2002-05); Mr. Karthik Ramamurthy (2009-13); and Mr.Vijay Narayanan (2025-)—exchange thoughts, share anecdotes, and answer rapid-fire questions. Even for some long-time members (including myself, with a 15+ year association with the chapter), it was the first time meeting and interacting with the founder president, Dr. Sridharan. Quite inspirational!
Mr. Prasanna Sampathkumar shared insights on major PMI events and developments in his trademark style.
Mr. Kartikeyan Ramamurthy and Sri Sudharshan M introduced the PMOGA - PMO Global Alliance (PMI Global Alliance) to the audience. PMOGA is recognized as the world's largest community dedicated to Project Management Offices (PMOs) and PMO professionals. It provides a great platform for learning, support, research, and networking for a wide range of PMO professionals. The touch of humor from Kartikeyan and Sri Sudharshan was like a perfect coffee blend!
The Special Interest Group for PMOGA initiatives was then inaugurated.
The importance of World Environment Day was emphasized when seed balls were distributed to the audience for sowing and sharing pictures!
The event was well presented by Sindhu Viswanathan, with freshness and energy. Well done! 🚀 Kudos to the PMI Chennai Members for making this event a grand success! 👏
